Frequently Asked Questions

What is EndoAxis?

EndoAxis was born of a vision to help providers connect complex patient hormone results to rapid analysis and solutions for you and your patients. We are a team of skilled and knowledgeable providers who have teamed up to compile a system of advanced comparative algorithms that are designed to analyze hormone production, activity, and metabolism and, through this analysis, provide targeted, root-cause support to treat the underlying hormone imbalances through nutraceutical, dietary, lifestyle and environmental recommendations.

Who Can Use the Software?

You must be a licensed healthcare provider to use the software. All new users are verified upon signup. Once approved, you’re ready to upload your first test!

Not a healthcare professional but want to see your EndoAxis report? Ask your provider about us!

How do I get started?

Create an account for your own Provider Portal. It is free and only takes a few minutes of your time.

Once your account is approved, log in and upload your patients labs. You’ll be asked a few questions to help us build the most accurate report possible for you and your patient.

How long does it take to get the report back?

We are dedicated to providing the most accurate and informed reports to help you gain mastery of your patient’s hormonal needs. Although all reports are interpreted through our complex algorithm in a matter of minutes, we maintain the highest efficacy by reviewing every report by hand to confirm results and recommendations. For this reason, please allow 48 hours for your detailed patient analysis to arrive in your portal.

How was the algorithm created?

Our hormonal algorithm was programmed and evaluated by doctors. It reviews the absolute hormone values identified on a test and compares those values to partner hormone dynamics and downstream metabolites to correlate relationships and determine areas of root-cause imbalance. These imbalances are further related to the symptoms and concerns reported in the initial patient intake for each upload to provide detailed and thorough recommendations to you, the provider.

The content for the algorithm was written by hormone experts that are passionate about education and root cause medicine. Each comment generated by the algorithm was directly written by a physician and is unique to the particular hormone pattern identified by your patient’s labs. The possibilities are endless, with over 350 patterns identified, and over 60 additional modifiers reported, producing an educational report that is unique to your patient.

Why use an algorithm?

The benefit of this platform is that it can quickly capture patterns of hormone imbalance versus looking at each individual hormone and making assumptions or treatment plans based on one metabolite at a time.

By looking at the patterns that emerge, you can better identify the underlying theme of imbalance and treat from the root cause. Any provider could be trained to do this, but we take the work and headache out of the process, so that you do not have to dwell over every case, but instead simply see a reflected pattern and then determine how you therapeutically want to manage that case based on our assessment.

Which labs do you currently interpret?

We currently offer interpretations for DUTCH test panels. We are expanding into more labs in the near future, including serum hormone markers and thyroid panels.

Does your program provide nutritional supplements?

Yes. By analyzing the unique biomarkers identified from a patient’s labs, formulations are created to support any fundamental imbalances identified. These formulations are rooted in evidence-based medicine and provide therapeutic levels and synergistic blends of herbs and minerals to provide optimal patient hormone outcomes.

Furthermore, lifestyle guides and provider-to-patient handouts are available to make recommendations even more streamlined and convenient.

What is the cost to use the program?

There is no cost to the provider to use this program. The only cost to the patient is the cost of the supplements.

Is EndoAxis secure and HIPAA compliant?

EndoAxis understands the rigor and necessity of storing patient data in a secure manner. We ensure the utmost data protection and privacy. All patient results are encrypted through SSL, and we use industry-standard physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to secure data against foreseeable risks, such as unauthorized use, access, disclosure, destruction, or modification. Our protocols, procedures, policies, and technology are meticulously crafted to ensure the protection of your patient’s privacy and health data.

Why are your products numbered? What does that mean?

Our products are formulated to address patterns of dysfunction identified on labs, rather than addressing a specific symptom or condition. This means that our products act on a specific root cause identified. Because of this approach, it wouldn’t be appropriate to name our products with a conventional naming system. When running your patient’s DUTCH test through EndoAxis, you will receive a report with a specific hormonal pattern and that pattern’s corresponding formula recommendation.

What is the quality of your products?

Our products are manufactured in a GMP-certified facility. Each ingredient is reviewed, and quality assurance is maintained to ensure they are free of heavy metals and contaminants and that exactly what we report on the label is included in the product – nothing more, nothing less. This is especially important with our herbal blends. Many herbs are grown in regions known for soil and air contamination. Our herbs are not only confirmed free of contamination but many of our herbs are concentrated and purified to provide utmost therapeutic value without risking harm to a patient.

Every product is bottled in glass to reduce harmful xenoestrogen exposure to the patient. This also allows every bottle to be recycled and reduces the amount of plastic waste in our landfills!

All products are free from corn, soy and wheat and the herbs used are certified organic.

What is the scientific rationale behind the Endo Axis formulations?

Each formulation is uniquely blended with root cause imbalance in mind. We formulate to address not just the hormones that are out of range, but to also address the “WHY” of that hormone imbalance.

For example, if testosterone is low for a male patient, yet estrogen is quite high, you may consider a formulation to boost testosterone, and another to lower estrogen, and a third to reduce aromatization. But let us think about “WHY” we have over-aromatization at play. Aromatization is a process that, at a cellular level, is increased often in response to active adipose tissue, inflammation, or blood sugar imbalance and is essentially “stealing” testosterone to make more estrogen.

Instead of chasing each hormone individually, our formulation for this pattern focuses on decreasing inflammation and reducing aromatase activity while simultaneously addressing the low testosterone and supporting healthy estrogen metabolism. We provide the route to address the imbalance in a single formulation, reducing unnecessary or redundant ingredients while providing optimal therapeutic response.

How are diagnosis and treatment married within EndoAxis?

We are not the patient’s doctor. We cannot replace the doctor’s real-time knowledge and experience with the patient. We are simply looking at hormone patterns and reflecting imbalances that may be exacerbating a patient’s health.

In this way, we can help more quickly identify underlying systemic imbalances that may give the providers a new avenue for assessment and, thereby, a more efficient strategy to further work-up and optimal treatment plans.

Our treatments are adjunct. They do work well on their own, but they can also work well as a part of a larger treatment strategy, including synergistically with bio-identical hormones. If a patient has other underlying metabolic diseases, they may need deeper support than our supplements can provide. We help educate the providers to know how best to handle these scenarios and recommend further testing in addition to nutrition and lifestyle support as appropriate.

We are here to empower providers, but it is truly the provider who must take what we provide and allow it to educate and enhance their treatment strategies. We cannot replace the provider’s essential role as a clinician and diagnostician.

They’re just hormones. Are they really that complicated?

Hormones are multifaceted. From the signals required to trigger production to biosynthesis, circulation, feedback loops, receptor response, and metabolism, every step of hormone production and response is complex. If we over-simplify hormone analysis, providers may miss markers that would indicate a deeper imbalance at play, which could lead to slower or reduced therapeutic outcomes if not appropriately addressed.

A common pitfall is relying on a few hormone markers without considering the broader metabolic context. Human metabolism is complex, with sex hormones serving as messengers that reflect deeper processes beyond reproduction. Knowing and treating the ‘why’ of that hormone imbalance rather than simply targeting an analyte in isolation is vital to a comprehensive and effective approach.

This can feel daunting and overwhelming. But that is what EndoAxis helps define – the why – so that you, the provider, can have a thorough understanding of your patient’s unique hormonal needs, and will be armed with information and treatment suggestions to get your patients back on track and feeling their best!
